Files with the extension .W64 are audio files created by 'Sonic Foundry'. .W64 files or 'WAVE64' files were developed to overcome the restrictions of the 4GB limit of the Microsoft 'WAV' format.
A .W64 file is a binary file similar to a RIFF / WAV file.
A .W64 file usually stores uncompressed sampled audio as 'PCM' (pulse-code modulation).
