Win32 file

Question: What is an W32 File?

Have you found, downloaded or received an W32 file, but don't know which software program is required to open it?

Before attempting to open an W32 file, you'll need to determine what kind of file you are dealing with and whether it is even possible to open or view the file format.

Answer: Files which are given the .W32 extension are known as Win32 files, however other file types may also use this extension. If you are aware of any additional file formats that use the W32 extension, please let us know.

How to open a W32 file:

The best way to open an W32 file is to simply double-click it and let the default assoisated application open the file. If you are unable to open the file this way, it may be because you do not have the correct application associated with the extension to view or edit the W32 file.

well I have a file named async.big.W32 on my hard disk
Its around 1.95 GB and is a part of a PC game. It has its video, audio and almost all contents that are compressed and pack in this one file. Couldn't find any useful information about such file type. but "Win32" simply indicates that the platform you're downloading the file for is 32-bit Windows. there is also a small software named "BIG editor v1.0" which opens and lets you edit these files.

Hope this info help. (just wanted to find the answer out of curiosity. correct me and let me know if this information doesn't seems to be right) thanks
