Used to store notes and reminders by Microsoft Sticky Notes, a post-it note application built in to the Microsoft Windows operating system (since Vista).

Microsoft however, do not associate these .SNT files with the Sticky Notes application by default, so one must associate these files manually.

The Sticky notes application can be found in the following location:

%windir%system32StikyNot.exe

The Sticky Notes file containing the actual data, can be found in the folder:

C:Users*login name*AppDataRoamingMicrosoftSticky Notes

The name of the notes file itself changes depending on the operating system:

Windows Vista: Sticky.snt
Windows 7: StickyNotes.snt
