A SIG file is a small text file that is automatically appended to the end of outgoing e-mail messages. The SIG file will usually include the sender's name and e-mail address. When a SIG file is used in a work environment, it may also include the name of the person's company, the person's title, and any and all contact phone numbers. A SIG may also contain a personal touch such as a favourite quote or inspirational saying. Most e-mail programs support multiple signature files; they can usually be selected from the options menu of most mail clients.
