An R0 file can also use the extension RAR and may be a stand-alone archive or the first file of a multi-file archive, or an archive which has been split in to multiple archived parts. These files are often used to store one or more files or parts of files in a highly compressed form, something that other archive formats such as ZIP cannot be used for.
