Pawn Source Code

.PWN files are source code files for applications that have been programmed in Pawn, an open source programming language. Pawn is generally and often used to create embedded scripts for use in PC games. .PWN files are then compiled into an AMX file, which then contains the executable code for the application. Pawn is the main language that was used in a multiplayer modifier for the PC version of 'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas'.
