A file created by Numbers, which is part of the iWork productivity suite--the Apple equivalent of Microsoft Office Excel. The NUMBERS file contains all the information about the data that is stored as part of the document in the iWork system and, therefore, may contain any number of data elements including: graphs, tables, text, and images. It may also contain data manipulation elements such as cell formulas and formatting information.
