NES files are files that contain a ROM image of a NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) video game. The NES ROM file contains the same data as the original NES cartridge only in a single file. NES ROMS can also be saved and resumed at a later time. NES ROMS can be played on any Mac or PC using a variety of freely available open source NES emulation software.
