.MXI File Extension

Macromedia Extension Information

Contains a list of extensions that are to be installed by the Macromedia Extension Manager.

These .MXI files are stored in XML format and simply contain a list of extensions (.mxp files) to be installed.

MXI is like a box containing *.mxp files which are plug-ins for adobe dreamweaver. instead of installing the *.mxp file one by one, group all *.mxp files into one file which is *.MXI file. install 300 or more plugin once.
