MCD files are a proprietary format used by MathCAD. MathCAD is a visually oriented math program. MCD files may contain algorithms, functions, programs, spreadsheets, and other types of data used in a MathCAD project. MCD files are often used for product development, engineering, and advanced mathematics calculations. MathCAD 14 and later are also compatible with Pro/ENGINEER and are able to open the files produced by that software.
