Files with the extension .MAI are 'video thumbnail' files used and created by the movie player utilised by the 'clie' range of Sony Palm OS PDAs.

.MAI files are usually located on the palms memory stick and contain a JPEG thumbnail picture identifying the video content, in addition to information describing the video file i.e. title, duration, date and time, etc.

In order to function properly .MAI video data files need to be located in the following folder:

PALMPROGRAMSMoviePlayer100MQV01

The video files themselves need to be located:

MQ_ROOT100MQV01
