Question: What is an IFD File?

Have you found, downloaded or received an IFD file, but don't know which software program is required to open it?

Before attempting to open an IFD file, you'll need to determine what kind of file you are dealing with and whether it is even possible to open or view the file format.

Answer: Files which are given the .IFD extension are known as JetForm Design Form files, however other file types may also use this extension. If you are aware of any additional file formats that use the IFD extension, please let us know.

How to open a IFD file:

The best way to open an IFD data file is to simply double-click it and let the default assoisated application open the file. If you are unable to open the file this way, it may be because you do not have the correct application associated with the extension to view or edit the IFD file.

.ifd is the extension for files create by an old software app called jetform (1983-1991 about). We use it at work to create forms for some companies that still use it. I would LOVE not to use it because it is serious old school...text does not even wrap. So I came to your site seeking anyone that can offer some info. in regards to a replacement application that handles .ifd files besides jetform for creating .ifd files/forms.
