One source of .dmb audio files was if they were recorded on a Mac in the 1980’s on OS 6 or 7 I expect. I don’t recall if they used the onboard sound capabilities or if a third party audio program was used to make the recording. The files I am referring to were of the spoken voice using either an external mike or the built in mike if there was one. I have no idea how to convert them today.
