Files with the DIG extension are associated with Sound Designer. The program was developed in 1985 by Digidesign to serve as recording and editing software for Macintosh Systems.

The DIG file format was the main format used by the Sound Designer Application. DIG files are monophonic and of low sapling size and bitrate. Because of the low quality sound, the DIG format isn’t used anymore.

How to open DIG files

DIG files can be opened with FMJ Awave Audio on the Windows platform and with Digidesign Sound Designer on the Mac OS platform.
