The .BFX extension is used by the fax software 'Cheyenne BitWare', which was bundled with certain fax modems from around 1995.

Looking inside the file appear to be a modified multi-page .tiff file.
I'm looking for a free .bfx viewer.

.bfx is the extension for the faxes generated by Cheyenne Bitware fax software. The program was included with some Philips 56k Modem fax, about 1995.
It was a good software, but it runs only up to Win ME, as far as I know. I'm also looking for a free .bfx viewer. I've found shareware "Smart FaxSee".

I found XnView program able to convert bfx files but not usable as viewer.
I lost my Bitware 2.x diskettes, and can not reinstall, the program runs on XP shows thumbnails, print, receive and send faxes OK, but the viewfax module do not works, is unable to show faxes on the screen.
