The .ark & .arkx files are associated with a document management program named ArkWorks. It was put out by Red Gear. Red Gear is gone and the TaxWorks & ArkWorks programs were bought by Thompson Reuters. They have been of no help in resolving my problem. We were in the middle of converting to a new Doc Management when the old ArkWorks crashed. I cannot re-install because the key code looks to a server to validate itself. That server is gone. I can see the folder structure and I can see the files but when I try to open them I get "ViewDoc: File is either empty or corrupted." If you can be of any help I would appreciate it.
