Autodesk, Inc is an American company that focuses on developing software used for designing complex 3D projects within the engineering, architecture and construction industries.
Its flagship product is AutoCAD, a program used for computer aided design that offers both 3D and 2D support. After the acquisition of Alias in 2006 and Softimage in 2008, Autodesk Inc. also entered the Entertainment and Media industry with software such as Maya and 3ds Max.
