XFD files are files that uses the Extensible Forms Description Language (XFDL) standard to represent a structured and legally binding business form. XFD files contain all necessary business form data including design layout, digital signatures, inline expressions, and business transaction details. XFD file addresses all business transaction needs: auditability, non-repudiation, preservation of context, and security. XFD files are the same as .XFDL files.
