.TPM File Extension

TeX Package Management

Data File
The .TPM file is used by the TeX/LaTeX package distribution.

TeX/LaTeX is a good typesetting system, widely used among scientists.

It is available for practically every computer where a C complier exists. In principle it is independent of the operating system.

It is possible that operating systems with restricted file names prohibiting extensions end this file name with _TPM (something similar happens with c header files ended which use _H instead of .h).

The last assertion is just based in analogy if you know a real example of such platforms please upgrade this entry.
