DISCO is a technology developed by Microsoft and used for discovering and publishing Web Services. It is also the name of the Web Services Discovery tool which is used to find the URLs of XML Web Services stored on a Web Server and to create and save all the documents related to the XML Web Services on a local hard disk.

DISCOMAP files are created with Disco.exe, the Microsoft Web Services Discovery Tool and contain data about ASP.NET Web Services found at a certain URL address. This data includes the location of the Web Services Description Language (WSDL) file and the DISCO file. Output files created by the Discovery tool are usually named "results.discomap".

How to open DISCOMAP Files

DISCOMAP files are XML documents so they can be opened and edited with any text editor such as Notepad or WordPad. They can also be opened using Microsoft Visual Studio 2012.
