CGZ files are an archive file used by the Red Hat Linux Operating System in order to contain the modules and drivers that may be needed to operate the hardware of the computer system. These files are typically stored in the /modules directory of the operating system and may also be found on the installation CD of the Red Hat operating system.

These files are proprietary to the Red Hat Linux system and cannot be used by other versions of Linux.
