Question: What is an 3DC File?

Have you found, downloaded or received an 3DC file, but don't know which software program is required to open it?

Before attempting to open an 3DC file, you'll need to determine what kind of file you are dealing with and whether it is even possible to open or view the file format.

Answer: Files which are given the .3DC extension are known as 3D Canvas 3D Model files (Amabilis Software), however other file types may also use this extension. If you are aware of any additional file formats that use the 3DC extension, please let us know.

How to open a 3DC file:

The best way to open an 3DC file is to simply double-click it and let the default assoisated application open the file. If you are unable to open the file this way, it may be because you do not have the correct application associated with the extension to view or edit the 3DC file.

.3dc is a 3D file. Used to be opened with 3D Canvas, but after a legal issue abouth the name 3D Canvas, the owners programmers changed the name of the software to 3D Crafter.
At this moment I run 3D Crafter Pro on a W7/64 engine.
Crafter installs as a .86 program is was in my opinion designed special to give professionals and privat persons a possibility to make add ons for a great number of long time favourite simulators for flight drive sail and dive puropses.
Pre of the program, it can import export a great deal of formats, and is if you are used to it, a very clean good working program, that has all to make anything.
I am user of the program sinds 2008 and have installed it as a very good and usable 3D tool, next to AC3D, Rhinoceros and 3ds max.
