.WSDL File Extension

Web Services Description Language File

Web File
Files with the WSDL extension are XML based and written using the Web Services Description Language. They're used for describing web services, network endpoints and ports on the Internet or another network. WSDL files contain information on data types, operations, data transfer, protocols and are also used for remote application access.

However, WSDL descriptions of web services are machine-readable only and require a second file that contains bindings for the parameters of the service. This allows WSDL descriptions to be reused with different sets of bindings.

WSDL files can be created using the Web Services Description Language Tool available in Microsoft Visual Studio.

How to open WSDL Files

Interfacing with WSDL files is possible through applications based on C/C++, ASP.NET and Java. WSDL files can be opened with the following applications.
