.VLX files are compiled AutoLISP scripts written in the Virtual LISP language. .VLX files are used specifically for creating macros that can be run within the PC drafting software AutoCAD. These Macros can then be used to automate tasks or functions within the AutoCad application. .VLX files are very similar to .FAS files, the difference being that .VLX files may contain multiple AutoLISP routines. .VLX files can be opened and used specifically with Windows Autodesk AutoCAD
