Files with the extension .VB are ROM image files for use with the 'Nintendo Virtual Boy'. .VB files and ROM image files in general are copies of the video game data held on a read-only memory chip (such as a video game cartridge).

ROM image files are usually used to recreate the original games and system via emulation software.

One Virtual boy emulator is known as 'Reality boy'.

Virtual Boy was released in 1995 by Nintendo as the first portable games console capable of displaying true 3D graphics, poor sales however led to the system being discontinued the following year.
