TIP: Run a Free Scan for .SUF File Errors.
File that has been encrypted with the open-source encryption tool, ccrypt. The .SUF extension is given to ccrypt files that are password protected, so will have been created with the command "ccrypt -S". ccrypt gives the extension .CPT to files that are not password protected (but are still encrypted) which is also ccrypt's default extension.
ccrypt uses an asymmetric encryption algorithm, based on the Rijndael Cipher algorithm.
