I created a userkey.psw file which is a windows password backup. I then looked in "my computer" at the file and tried to open it. Windows does not recognise it even though it just created it. What sort of dumb programmers does Bill Gates employ?

I have the same file on my computer that Alan mentioned, a userkey.pswd file that I cannot open. I did not knowingly create this file but is is on one of my USB (2gb) drives. I don't want to just reformat the drive without knowing just what is in that file. It's on a drive that causes no harm to the rest of my computer. I can remove the drive and go on about my business. I'm just curious where it came from, what created it and how do I read it if possible?
