I have this kinda old typesetting program that runs in dos format. Name of the program is F3 from Bloc Dev Corp around year 1990. The program works just fine and I am very happy with it however the Bloc Dev Corp doesn't exist any more.

What I need to do is upgrade my printer output drivers to a more current dos driver. However the HPII dos driver has an extension HPII.pdb which I can open with word wrap but it shows a lot of strange characters such as a verticle rectangular Zero and others plus some words and characters are recognizable in English as the setup characters for the HP-LJ 2 printer driver. So I am quite sure that is the driver file.

I have obtained the dos drivers for LJ-3 and LJ-4 Printers but I need to know what software is used to create this HPII.PDB extension to create a new dos driver.

I just need a Little help to point me in the right direction if someone knows.

I have found the best PDB database for writing PDB database's, it is HanDbase, www[dot]ddhsoftware[dot]com

it uses the .PDB format for desktop and all smart phones and iPhone, fantastic database simple to use and converts .PDB to text with any chosen delimiter and also converts to access file formats.

So far I have worked out there are two types of PDB extensions. one is PALM DATA BASE for the above devices and the other for Microsoft Visual Studio and just thought of another one is for Visual Basic Debugger.

I know that this is an old thread but may be of some use to some one.
