.PBB files are created by "Microsoft Mail for PC Networks" during mail transfer across asynchronous (async) or X.25 communication links.

A .0LK file is used to control access to a specific mail outbound queue, and a .PBB file is used to ensure that the same mail item can be sent to multiple destinations by different Externals at the same time.

For phone numbers to ne transfered to an IPhone they are first saved to a pbb file. How are they then downloaded to the IPhone?

I wrote a pbb to csv converter, which can be imported to the iPhone via Outlook Express or Yahoo Address Book.

Would you let me know how to access or use your program? I've spent an inordinate number of hours and calls to both AT&T and Apple tech support (after hours of perma- hold) to no avail. They each referred me back and forth over the last 3 days. I finally transferred my contacts to the Kingston USB, but can't download into Outlook 2002 or Express. I'd love to join your mutual admiration society. I'll be waiting...

I've just found that you can open a .PBB file and recover a list of readable names and phone numbers by using the "Recover text from any file" option in MS Word. For someone who has only a short list of numbers and is willing to print the list and re-enter them by hand, that at least gives you the info that was on the previous phone.
