A data file that is created by the Windows Mail program. The data file contains information about the account including: account name, e-mail address, connection information, encrypted log-in information to the e-mail server, and the preferences for the e-mail or news feed account. This data file is written in an XML format that is human readable.
Because these files describe the information for an e-mail or news feed account, one is necessary for each account and thus is created when a new account is created.
