TIP: Run a Free Scan for .GIN File Errors.
A GIN file can be used by the GEMS calibration software, versions 3 and 4. It contains the information that is used for the calibration and control of the ECU, or Engine Control Unit, and may be used in the analysis of engines and programming of engine control units. The GIN file further contains all the tables and parameters found within an ECU and that may be used to control aspects of the engine itself.
