I was able to change the extension to .cnt and open it in Windows Explorer. It's not pretty but it works.I changed my shorcut icon to the Help symbol in Windows XP for something at work. The unintended side effect was a .GID file that popped up on my desktop. It keeps a log of the instances I use the short cut for. I opened it in the above manner. Might be handy to know....
