I believe the .GAL files originated with Easy Photo/Arc-Soft software. However, it was from several years ago.If I'm correct, the software came with the E-Z Photo, photo drive on my computer (circa 1993-1996)at the time.I have an original copy of the program, however, it's on a floppy and I don't have a handy 'A' drive. On the other hand, have a copy of everything on a CD, but I'm not much help there either since the "D" drive on my current laptop is not working right now.I'd be more than happy to share all and any information I have if it would help. I have about 20 .GAL files with some amazing photos I would love to recapture, so any help would be appreciated.

The .GAL (in caps) files I'm having trouble with came from Adobe Photodeluxe 2.0's "EZ Photo" vers 2.7.I haven't been able to remember where it came from, but I think I just saw the answer on another site. I think I got it when opening my first Kodak photo CD, as software to handle the photos.Somehow the program has become corrupt and crashes as soon as it opens, and I have many photos in there that I can't open. I've tried renaming and using other more generic programs like MS photo manager and nothing works. Is there a way to successfully convert image files to a common format like bmp or png?
