DISCO is a technology developed by Microsoft and used for discovering and publishing Web Services. It is also the name of the Web Services Discovery tool which is used to find the URLs of XML Web Services stored on a Web Server and to create and save all the documents related to the XML Web Services on a local hard disk.

Documents with the DISCO extension contain XML Schema Documentation, Web Service Descriptions and links to other discovery documents. DISCO files should be saved in the vroot (virtual root) folder along other similar files.

How to open DISCO Files

Since DISCO files are XML based, they can be viewed and edited with any text editor such as Notepad. They can also be accessed through Microsoft Visual Studio.
