When you right click on a file you can auto create a shortcut to the desktop using the Desktop (create shortcut). Would it also be possible, I wonder, to create another desklink file that would allow you to right click on a file and send a shortcut to your favourites folder?
Well after some experimentation it seems that the DESKLINK file is linked to the Desktop ONLY. So regardless of what you call it in the Send To folder, if it ends in DESKLINK Windows will send a shortcut of the file to the Desktop, that is pretty much all it seems to do.
