The .DCR file format is used by certain Kodak digital camera models, most commonly:
- Kodak DSC Pro SLR/c
- Kodak DSC Pro SLR/n
- Kodak DSC Pro 14N
- Kodak DSC PRO 14nx
- Kodak DSC 660C
This file format contains RAW image data. A 'RAW' image file contains only minimally processed data taken via the sensor of the digital camera. The purpose of this is that settings such as: exposure, white balance, etc. can then be modified later as desired.
.DCR files can be viewed with the software included with the camera and various 3rd party applications.
