CLPI files are stored on a Blu-Ray disc using a five-digit code that corresponds to the clip that the information file is for. While the file does not contain an audio or video stream itself, the information file does contain information regarding the audio and video streams of the clip that is being described which allows the Blu-Ray player to find and properly sync the audio and video for the clip from various locations on the disc.
