The BOOT file is typically packaged by the Flexera Installshield application for use during a Windows install and contains the settings for an installation written in a plain-text format. These files are usually packaged with a corresponding executable file of the same name as the setting file that is used to install an application. Despite INI files also being able to contain the settings, these files are still commonly found with installers.
