ASND files can be created using the Adobe Soundbooth sound-editing software. These files store everything that is used in the project and allows the project file to be shared without the need for additional files; the items included in these files are: the original audio, the edits that have been made to that audio, and the mixer settings for the audio. Because of the information that may be stored, these files can typically become very large.
These files may also be used by Flash CS4 applications.
