File extension: .$$A - An operating system for PCs based on Intel's 80286 and 80386 microprocessors, developed jointly by Microsoft and IBM, but sold/managed solely by IBM.
OS/2 is compatible with DOS and Windows, meaning it can run DOS and Windows programs. However, programs that are written specifically to run on OS/2 will not work on DOS/Windows.
